Leslie Alexander grew up on an Alberta sheep farm & couldn't wait to get to the city. She hit the road, made a bunch of mistakes & wrote songs about them. She wound up singing on a street corner in Vancouver for spare change. She does not consider this a mistake. Today, Leslie's songs are receiving international airplay on her own recordings as well as cuts with other artists and have been licensed to film and television.

"Amy Bishop has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. it's unique, powerful and amazing, just like Amy Bishop. it doesn't matter what kind of songs she sings, I know I'll like them if she is singing them no matter what style of song she does, once she applies her signature vocals to them, they simply become Amy Bishop songs."

True to her divergent roots and wanderings, Yael delivers songs with the demanding sensibility of folk, the landscape of a wild country, allusions to sultry jazz and mid-eastern exoticism. On stage she is captivating and charming, one of those rare performers with the ability to draw in an audience not only by the sound of her voice, clear and wrought with emotion, but also with the colour and substance of her songwriting.

My “job” is to sing about what I feel and think and to inspire others to feel and think for themselves. I will always be nervous when I am standing up there, playing the first bars of my first song, but when I sing the first line and I feel all the discontentment rolling off of me in waves, I am home and I can say, firmly and definitively, “This is what I’m supposed to be doing.”

Joel Fafard is that rare breed of instrumentalist: the kind whose appeal reaches far beyond the realm of serious guitar enthusiasts. The gifted slide fingerstyle player writes stirring, melodic compositions that paint pictures as vivid as any song with words. He introduces them on-stage with hilarious commentary delivered in a "hillbilly farm-boy" stage persona that quickly wins his audience over. And when he sinks his chops into a number like "Face Down in the Rhubarb," well, let's just say the serious guitar enthusiasts aren't disappointed either.
